You may have provided your personal data to Ella Ella Holiday Home via email, via its social media pages (for example Facebook Messenger, Instagram), by browsing the website www.ellaella.eu, or in another manner. Ella Ella Holiday Home may also have received your data from third parties, for example following a referral or via public sources such as the Belgian company register (KBO).

Please do not forget to inform Ella Ella Holiday Home of any changes to your personal data if this information is relevant to Ella Ella Holiday Home. Ella Ella Holiday Home in turn endeavours to keep your personal data accurate.

If you do not wish to provide certain data, it is possible that Ella Ella Holiday Home will not be able to (properly) perform the requested services.

For what purposes does Ella Ella Holiday Home use your personal data?

Pre-contractual communication and performance of the customer agreement

Ella Ella Holiday Home uses your personal data primarily to be able to offer you its services — generally in the context of pre-contractual communication or to perform the agreement between you and Ella Ella Holiday Home.

For example, Ella Ella Holiday Home processes your first name, surname and email address to communicate with you about assigned tasks and to send brochures. Your telephone number allows us to communicate by phone as well. For contact persons within a company, we will generally not process a personal home address, but we will of course do so for businesses that have registered their registered office at home.

Optimisation of services and proper customer management

Furthermore, Ella Ella Holiday Home may use your personal data to optimise its services and for proper customer management, based on the legitimate interests of Ella Ella Holiday Home. For example, we maintain a list of our customers in our CRM system. From the analysis of cookies, we can determine which pages of the website are read most frequently.

Promotion

When you are a customer of Ella Ella Holiday Home, your email address, first name, surname and gender may also be used to promote further identical or similar services to you and to keep you informed of news in the sector, based on the legitimate interest of Ella Ella Holiday Home. When you separately subscribe to a newsletter or promotion without being a customer, your consent will be requested for the processing of your first name, surname, gender and email address.

Where the promotion is based on consent, you may at any time request Ella Ella Holiday Home to stop sending such information or newsletters.

Even when we contact you in another way on the basis of our legitimate interest, you can always let us know that you are not interested and thereby exercise your right to object.

Statistics and security

Furthermore, the website will collect statistics on the browsing behaviour of visitors. The website will also use cookies, through which your IP address may be captured. The processing of personal data obtained in this way is based on legitimate interest with regard to the security and proper functioning of our website. Except for necessary cookies, we always ask for your consent.

Legal obligations and safeguarding of rights

In addition, Ella Ella Holiday Home uses your data to comply with the legal provisions applicable to it and to safeguard its rights based on its legitimate interest (for example, in the event of a dispute it will use your personal data to send you the necessary correspondence; invoices must be retained for 7 years).

If Ella Ella Holiday Home were to process your data on a different legal basis or for a different purpose, you will receive all relevant information in advance and your consent will be requested if necessary.

Ella Ella Holiday Home does not use automated programmes to make decisions regarding your personal data or for profiling.

What protective measures has Ella Ella Holiday Home implemented?

Ella Ella Holiday Home has taken administrative (such as the use of passwords and confidentiality agreements where necessary), organisational (e.g. appropriate storage methods, regular backups, restricting access to persons who need the data) and technical measures (e.g. antivirus programmes, securing network connections through the use of a Secure Socket Layer (SSL)) to protect your personal data.

Ella Ella Holiday Home endeavours to continue taking appropriate measures in the future, always taking into account the specific nature and size of its activities, the state of the art, the cost of implementation, as well as the context and the purposes of processing and the risks — varying in likelihood and severity — to the rights and freedoms of individuals.

Ella Ella Holiday Home’s website may contain links and plug-ins to external websites. If you provide personal data to these websites, the privacy rules of those websites apply and such parties act primarily as data controllers.

Finally, your personal data are shared with the competent authorities if they request this. Ella Ella Holiday Home will inform you of this in advance if permitted to do so.

Are your personal data transferred abroad?

Ella Ella Holiday Home may transfer your personal data to other countries. In the case of transfers to countries outside the EEA, Ella Ella Holiday Home will continue to take the necessary measures to guarantee your personal data rights and to ensure their security and integrity. It is possible that the third country has already been deemed adequate by the European Commission. Furthermore, transfers are generally carried out on the basis of standard contractual clauses as approved by the European Commission and, more exceptionally, on the basis of binding corporate rules.

How long does Ella Ella Holiday Home retain your personal data?

Ella Ella Holiday Home will not retain your personal data for longer than necessary. In principle, your customer data are retained until one year after the termination of the customer relationship.

If you receive promotions and general information about the sector via a newsletter or other means of communication, your first name, surname, gender and email address are retained until you unsubscribe, provided you are not a customer.

Furthermore, Ella Ella Holiday Home retains the necessary personal data to comply with legal provisions such as fiscal requirements relating to data retention.
